U N E A R T H L I N G S | The Dew Drop Inn
It’s a cold and wet Tuesday night in DC. The crowd at the Dew Drop Inn is light, and “Mac” McCoy is wiping the bar and watching the streetlights shine in the rain outside. A hispanic man enters and sits down at the bar in front of McCoy. The man looks harried and nervous. Mac recognizes him instantly as one of his old Army buddies from the war.
Rod Lopez? My lord, how long has it been?
Too long, Mac. How you keepin, brother?
I been keepin. Tryin to get my shit together.
Still built like a linebacker, I see.
Well, I played offense back in college, but yeah, I’m tryin to stay in shape too. What’ll you have?
Scotch and water. Look Mac, I don’t have much time now, but I gotta talk to you. It’s important.
CHOOSE MAC’S RESPONSE:
Alright. Talk away. That’s what we do here.
Look, Rod. You were like a brother to me, but times are different now. I’m not looking for trouble.
